We live in the desert, in Southern California. It is very dry here, and for that reason I use seasoned wood (already dry). If your carving develops small cracks, this is natural and adds character to the the peice. To remove dust, simply use a soft paintbrush like you might use to paint your house. If possible place the back of your carving towards any large heat source, a fireplace or in the sun. If the carving is going to crack more, it will be on the side recieving heat. If your carving is outside it will occasionally need to be recoated. Remove any loose material with a stiff brush, for example a scrub brush. Repaint with a clear oil-based exterior polyurethane, or a good exterior laquer...enjoy!

Cuidar de Esculturas:

Vivimos en el desierto de Sur California...esta muy seca aqui, por esto razon uso madera aclimitada(ya secado). Si tu escultura developar unos grietas pequenas esto es natural, y solamente sumares caracter a tu pieza. Para remover polvo, simplemente usar un cepillo blando como usas para pintar tu casa. Si posible, situar la espalda de tu esculptura rumbo a cualquier origen largo de calor, una chimenea o en el sol. Si va a grietar mas tu esculptura, va a pasar en el lado recibiendo el calor. Si tu escultura esta afuera, ocasionalmente tu debes que re-pintar con laca. Remover todo floja material con un cepillo fregar duro. Usa un aciete-basado exterior polyurethane o otra buen tipo de laca exterior...desfruta!
